Now and then I come across transcripts of
Werner's
recorded audio media. In some cases, transcripts of his audio media
provide a clearer rendering of
his speaking
than even the audio media itself. Translation bugs can result in
distortion when the original audio media is converted from tape to a
digital format.
Try this novel deployment of these transcripts which works when
the source
audio media is also available, regardless of its quality: while
listening
the audio media, read along with the transcript of the audio media.

Clearly the best way to
listen
and experience
Werner
is to be with him
in-person,
up-close,
face to face,
larger than life, and twice as natural. No audio media comes
close
to having an in-person experience of
Werner.
There are some ways in which a transcript of the audio media could be
said to have as much value (in some cases, more) than an in-person
experience. One is a transcript isn't degraded by conversion issues
when the audio media was converted from tape to a digital format. Two
is the ability it affords to quickly and easily read and absorb wording
and style and inflection and accent, that you may not have gotten in
one take ie in one
listening.
Three is reading the material calls for a greater, more focused
relationship with the material than

typically affords.
