One Thousand Essays And A Million Views:

A Future

Alston Park, Napa Valley, California, USA

December 13, 2012

"Living my life backwards does allow me to see the future, so victory is guaranteed!"
... Merlin the wizard

"Then he waited, marshaling his thoughts and brooding over his still untested powers. For though he was master of the world, he was not quite sure what to do next.
But he would think of something."
... Arthur C Clarke embodying Star-Child, in the closing words of the grand finale of "2001: A Space Odyssey"
This essay, One Thousand Essays And A Million Views: A Future, is the companion piece to
  1. A Future Worth Living Into
  2. Watch This Space
in that order.

It is also, with The Effortless Breakthrough, a prequel to Direct Experience, and it is also the prequel to Thanks A Million!.

It's a future which calls me: one thousand essays and a million views. It's a future which uses me. It's the future I live from.

Wait! Shouldn't that be "It's the future I live into"  rather than "It's the future I live from"?

Yes I know the usual way of saying this is "It's the future I live into.". Indeed this is how we do say it in the ordinary sense ie in the business as usual  way. And saying it this way is good enough for jazz  when we're talking about something which hasn't happened yet. But no, it's the future I live from  - like this: looking backwards from  the future realized (as Merlin the wizard may have said) I generated one thousand Conversations For Transformation which received a million views.

Said in the ordinary sense ie said in the business as usual way: as of this writing, having already generated seven hundred and eighty five essays, I have two hundred and fifteen essays more to write for the Conversations For Transformation website which has received six hundred and eighty eight thousand, nine hundred and four views so far ie there are another approximately three hundred and eleven thousand views to go.

Said Merlin's way:  looking backwards from the future realized, I wrote two hundred and fifteen more essays and published them to the Conversations For Transformation website which received another approximately three hundred and eleven thousand views.

Notice looking backwards from the future realized, both  milestones were passed: I wrote one thousand essays and  they received a million views. At my promised rate of writing two new essays a week for which the Conversations For Transformation website received about a thousand page views per essay, this new work took about two years.

Then  what? The answer to this question is: I don't know. It's  using me. So I really  don't know ... but I'll think of something  - that is if I haven't already done so by then. This is not to say no new Conversations For Transformation will come forth. Nor does it say the project Conversations For Transformation  will be wrapped up. It simply says the future, one thousand essays and a million views, was realized.

It also says from then on Conversations For Transformation may continue in their current form or they may morph  into another class of Self expression - that is to say Conversations For Transformation may morph into another art form, a new iteration  of Werner's work ... or neither ... or  ... something else ie something not now predictable will appear, something not now predictable will discontinguously break through  demanding I write it down and share it ... or speak it ... or something like that.

As for what it will be, as for what it will look like, as for what will happen given the future realized, ... well ... I promise I'll tell you as soon as I find out.
